The festival offers a big schedule of symbolic events. There are music concerts from pop to traditional Catalan folk, street performers and dancers. One of the most iconic traditions is “Castellers”, spectacular human towers that symbolize teamwork and soladirity. Various groups, named “collas” compete to build the tallest and most intricate towers. An other event is “Correfoc”, where participants dressed as devils parade trough the streets and setting off fireworks and firecrackers. There are also giants who parade and dance during “Toc d’Inici” and “Xambaga”. A new event since last year is the great drone show on the beach. Finally, the pyromusical show closes the festival in Plaza España. All of this captivate spectators and liven up the streets.
