Chicote nightmare in the kitchen celebrates ten years

Alberto Chicote nightmare in the kitchen

Alberto Chicote nightmare in the kitchen is a spectacle, with tension failure and above all, Chicote. The La Sexta program is now celebrating 10 years of history and premiered a new season on the Atresmedia network last Friday, October 11.

It was there in 2011 when Chicote put on one of his now legendary jackets in nightmare in the kitchen for the first time. He and his culinary reality team have visited a lot of restaurants in crisis where with the goal of reviving them.

The recipe is simple, and has been that way since its premiere in 2012: Chicote comes to the rescue of a hotel business in crisis. He puts all his effort into detecting the difficulties that are causing the restaurant to fail and transforms it in just a couple of weeks to move it forward

Alberto Chicote has always been the face and identity of his program. For him, “going to these restaurants is as if we were going to the Champions League final every week,” as he commented. In 2005 he was chosen “Best Spanish Chef of the Year” when he worked at the Nodo and Pandelujo restaurants.

Stories to keep you from sleeping in nightmare in the kitchen

The show stands out for its controversies and failures, with very hard and harsh moments, episodes such as those experienced in the restaurants El Puerto, Rusiñol and El Yugo de Castilla, are some examples of this. The years have passed and there are now many seasons and hundreds of episodes. Esther Pérez, director of Entertainment Programs at Atresmedia, has said as a result that “it has a lot of merit to stay on the air and complete 10 seasons with the effort and suffering that this type of program represents.”
